Dr. Amara Okafor

Dr. Okafor spent twelve years in hospital emergency departments across Maryland and the District before opening National Select Urgent Care. She started the clinic with a simple goal: give local families the same quality of care she gave in the ER, without the wait or the bill.

She is board certified in family medicine and holds a certificate in emergency ultrasound. She sees patients six days a week and still takes the last walk-in of the evening herself more often than she should.
